Insurance Information
Families are strongly recommended to take out comprehensive travel, personal effects and accident insurance for students traveling to GISS. You can choose your own cover, or the school can offer insurance through a third-party provider.
guard.me offer a Multirisk + Cancellation policy which is available at £60.00 per person. The cover is for the purposes of attending GISS and is from the departure date from home country to return date in home country.
guard.me are underwritten by one of the largest European Insurers White Horse Insurance DAC and in addition to the usual travel and accident cover, this insurance also offers some cover against COVID cancellation.

If an adult is escorting students to and from the course then they can also take out their own policy. Please include the names of all adults to be insured in the insurance application form.
guard.me offer a dedicated helpline for emergencies; this will be on the ID card you receive once you have taken out the insurance. Claims can be made via email or telephone.
Process:
- Insurance can be obtained at any time after registration to GISS and before the start of the course. The insurance cost will be invoiced and will not be refundable in any event.
- Families who wish to purchase this insurance should complete this form: APPLY HERE
- Upon receipt of payment GISS will organise the insurance with guard.me and you will be sent the policy documentation and other relevant information. The insurance becomes effective once you have received a confirmation email directly from the insurance company.
- In the event of a claim, families deal directly with guard.me and not the school.
Your insurance is with guard.me and GISS is facilitating access and providing an administrative service. It is your responsibility to read the information that is available and to ensure that you are comfortable with the type and level of insurance that is being provided by guard.me
